The eighth wonder of the world
The Eighth Wonder of the World - Compounding - just like money, also applies to health.
Similar to how money invested in the right assets can compound to generate wealth, making the right food choices on a regular basis and engaging in daily exercise can compound into a lifetime of good health.
I want to emphasize the importance of diet over exercise because I workout for only about 5% of the time throughout the week, while the remaining 95% is when my diet is working for me. It's like money you invest working for you even when you're not actively working.
Yesterday, I came across a quote that resonated with me: "It's easier to buy a BMW than to buy yourself freedom." I believe this could become a reality for many people around me as India's economy becomes more credit-driven, and credit becomes easily accessible.
Money and health are the greatest levers for buying freedom, which ultimately means buying time. However, wielding these levers can be challenging when credit is readily available, and everyone is trying to sell you unhealthy food and unnecessary items with enticing discounts. And I believe that exercising these levers correctly largely determines our mental and physical health, long-term wellbeing and happiness.
My life's goal is to use these levers wisely, utilizing them to buy myself time, prioritizing things based on what truly improves my life rather than conforming to society's expectations.
